A parent who criticized you. A teacher who told you that you weren't smart enough. A loss so public it felt like a brand. Years of those inputs, and suddenly the subconscious has a clear picture of who you are. Except that picture was painted by other people's fears, projections, and limitations. Not by your actual potential.
The work of rewiring your subconscious is largely the work of separating your true self from the accumulated beliefs other people handed you without your permission.
I spent years in prison. For a long time I let that define what was possible for me. My subconscious ran a program that said: people who've been where you've been don't get to have what you want. I didn't choose that program. I absorbed it from an environment that kept repeating it.
